Egypt - Valley of the Kings at Luxor

The most famous mummy in the world is in valley of the kings.

The name is Tutankhamun, and he didn't get older than 18-19 years. The reason of his popularity is, that when they found his thumb in 1922, that its was still full of gold and other treasures. The only thing left in the tomb is his sarcophagus, and of course his mummy. Its not aloud to take pictures in the thumbs, and you have to respect that. But outside the tombs, you can take as many pictures as you like.

The reason why the old pharaohs picked this valley is according to our guides, that it looks like a pyramid, from the road. And anything in a pyramid can never die. And they didn't think that any grave robber could find this place, in the middle of the mountain. But as history tells us, they found it anyway, except the grave of Tutankhamun.

If you go to Valley of the Kings, and the ticket to Tutankhamun grave is not included, then we would like to tell you that it’s a good idea to se it as well. The price is 70 EGP extra for the ticket, but it’s worth it. Just to say afterwards, that you have been inside Tutankhamun grave, with his mummy. And it might be the closest you'll ever get to such a famous king.

At this time they have recovered 64 graves in valley of the kings. Many thinks, that there might be even more tombs. Maybe new history is about to be recovered soon. The graves is numbered as they were found.
