Egypt - Luxor temple in Luxor

This temple wasn’t on the trip we bought to Luxor. But we drove by, in the bus, and the bus driver was nice to park beside it for a minute, so we could take some pictures. Our guide told us, that this temple was used as a temple to the queens. It looks a lot like Karnak temple which was used by the kings, just a lot smaller.

Outside the temple there is a lonely obelisk, which is 25 meters tall. The other is in Paris and was a gift from Muhammed Ali Pasha, in 1829. The obelisk got planted on place de la Concorde in 1833.

The main part of this temple was build by the two kings Amenophis 3rd and Ramses 2nd. Other kings such as Tutankahmon & Alexander the Great has added more.
