Egypt - Karnak temple in Luxor

The Karnak temple is one of the most fantastic sites you'll see in Egypt. The temple have inscriptions on every wall, telling legends about what happened in Egypt, and about all the old pharaohs. There must be something here for every taste, even if you’re not interested in old history. It's easy to use several hours here, if you have the time. This place was a huge experience.

The Karnak temple was build over a period of more than 2500 years.

The further you go into the temple, from today’s entrance, the older it gets. Every pharaoh has added something new to the temple, or torn something down. The area of the temple is about 1.5 * 0.8 km.

If you have to choose between visiting Cairo or Luxor, it isn't hard. Our choice would absolutely be Luxor. There are experiences for everyone, and we are sure that most people come to Egypt to see some real life hieroglyphs. And it is in Luxor you find them. The pictures on this site speaks for them self. It’s a small bite of what you can expect when you go to Luxor and visit the Karnak temple.
