Egypt - Zahabia Resort in Hurghada

Hotel Zahabia has been given two stars from Tjaereborg. But we think it should be more. The hotel is small but extremely good. It has almost everything you need. The hotel is three buildings with rooms and apartments.

We lived in a 1-room apartment, it was very roomy and had a lovely balcony. We have seen different rooms and they had the things you need the most.

Around the buildings there is a lovely garden, with pool, playground and some small shops where you can buy almost everything. A mini-market, a souvenir shop, a goldsmith, a perfume shop and a shop where you can buy bags and papyrus. There is also a shop with sand bottles made by the sandartist Mido in hand.

In the hotel area there is a pool bar, two restaurants and a restaurant with barbeque. In the Bedouin tent you can eat good and cheap. We had breakfast here every day and we tried the buffet a couple of times in the evening. There are daily shows like fakir show or Mr. Zahabia, where Jacob was in both. It is cheap, so you don’t have to get a cab to go to town to shop.

The hotel has a private beach 300 meters from the hotel. You just have to cross the street and follow a private road to the beach.

On the beach there are lot’s of possibilities. You can lie in the sun, snorkel and scuba dive.
There is also a restaurant, a bar and some small shops on the beach, so you can stay there all day. There is also a massage shop - and we have to say... The two massage men is doing a really great job.

Its also possible to get a ride on the nice camel called Rocky on the beach. Rocky is 10 years old and he like bread. If you bring him bread he will be your friend very soon :-)
